Re: Overclocking the GT 555M card.:-)
Thanks, I have it downloaded and I'll install this driver later this AM, l want to re-run the 3D Mark 11 tests with the stock driver to see if I can get some numbers.
Edit:
The above link is for 32bit drivers, since I have a 64bit OS they are not the correct drivers, here's a link to the 64bit drivers for those who want the drivers.

OK, here's the results after installing the 270.51 Beta Drivers. All tests were done with the 270.51 Beta drivers and the default setting for the benchmark tests.
On a side note: If anyone plans on installing the 270.51 drivers on a l702X, choose "Custom Install" and then "Clean Install", otherwise you'll get installation error's.

Some tests revealed a slight loss in performance while others showed a slight increase in performance. No major increase or decrease in benchmark numbers.
I did notice that during all the testing the overclocked settings actually ran cooler that the stock settings, my GPU temps maxed @ 67 degrees for the stock settings and they maxed @ 64 for the overclocked settings.
And for what it's worth I felt the frame rates were smoother with the beta drivers, some of the tests seemed a bit jumpy with the 267.21 drivers but it appeared all were much smoother with the beta drivers.
This concludes my benchmark testing of the 555M, I hope I was able to either help in some way or answer questions that you had about this GPU.XPS17 | i7-2720QM | GT555M - 3GB | 8GB DDR1333 | 1TB (2 X 500) | Backlit Keys | Upgraded to 1080p | Win7 Ultimate 64 |

Re: Overclocking the GT 555M card.:-)
BTW sorry if I hijacked your thread, that was not my intention, I only wanted to compare notes with you.
I installed this driver:
NVIDIA (64bit) DRIVERS 270.51 BETA
I didn't uninstall Afterburner, I did a "Custom Install" then chose "Clean Install" then I rebooted.
I set Afterburner to the stock settings, then rebooted before running my "Stock" tests. Then I OC'd using Afterburner, rebooted and re-ran the "Afterburner" tests.XPS17 | i7-2720QM | GT555M - 3GB | 8GB DDR1333 | 1TB (2 X 500) | Backlit Keys | Upgraded to 1080p | Win7 Ultimate 64 |

and the gddr5 version will be more hopeless as its has 96 sps 128 bits gddr5 some chinese forum benched it
hey guys about u gt 555m can u bench COD MW2, BFBC2, AvP, Crysis 2, Bulletstorm, Mafia 2, Nfs HP 2010?

Re: Overclocking the GT 555M card.:-)
well oced gt 555m gives p1649 at 760 core
stock 6770m at
P1567 (725/800 Stock)
P1673 (775/900 OC)
P1750 (825/925 OC)
Edit, one more, just for fun.
P1824 (866/950 OC)
well safely oc limit 825 on the core
is gt 555m and 6770m volt tweakable?
Far Cry 2 @ 1366x768, DX10, Ultra Settings and 4XAA (775/900=slight overclock)
Minimum Framerate = 30.21
Average Framerate = 38.39
Max Framerate = 64.03
Crysis 1 @ 1366x768, DX10, High (one down from maximum), 4XAA (775/900=slight overclock)
Average Framerate = 32.72 (second, third and fourth flyby, since first is always innacurate)
World in Conflict @ 1366x768, DX10, Every setting highest possible with exception of AA, which was chosen at 4X), (775/900=slight overclock)
Minimum Framerate = 20
Average Framerate = 33
Maximum Framerate = 53

Re: Overclocking the GT 555M card.:-)
The 555M is not volt tweakable with the afterburner.
The benchmarks are great. But what about the heat? And higher resolutions?Who wants to play crysis 1 in 1366x768 on a 1080p Display?
I play every game in FullHD only.
And about the heat...my older 445M was crashed very bad in crysis 1 overclocked...the heat was too much. And that in 900p only. The 555m runs with 30-35fps in FullHD and all on "high"(but no AA)not over 79/80C.I think thats very good for a notebook. And thats why I´m asking about the 6770 and the heat, when you play for hours in very high settings.Thats another thing as a fast high overclocked benchmarktest. You know what I wanna say?Sorry,my englisch is not so perfekt, because I´m from germany.
