I have the same system score as you with the same system. Do you have the Crucial m4 SSD? I dont know but I think that Windows Experience Index is pretty useless. We need to see some 3D Mark and CINEBENCH scores.

It is really best used for identifying bottlenecks in a system (ie a 5.9 HDD)

It is. It doesn't even really tell you the bottleneck point sometimes, although usually it is decent at that (and that's about it!)

    Thanks again for the reply

Have tried manually updating the driver within device manager - the only compatible driver listed is the "Hybrid Analog/ATSC". If I choose to over ride this with a DVB driver, it will show up as "Hybrid Analog/DVBT", but upon checking the hardware IDs, they always remain the same, no matter what driver I use:

    PCI\VEN_1131&DEV_7231&SUBSYS_0B071461&REV_AA
    PCI\VEN_1131&DEV_7231&SUBSYS_0B071461
    PCI\VEN_1131&DEV_7231&CC_048000
    PCI\VEN_1131&DEV_7231&CC_0480

Im guessing that means there is more than 1 version of this card with this part number, a DVB-T version and a ATSC version.

Do you know what the part number is for the card you are using?
Quick update on this for anyone who may need to know for future reference.

There are 2 versions of the TV tuner card - an ATSC version and DVB version - I had been sent the wrong version (ATSC) by the supplier. They have since sent me the DVB version and all is now well, so I can confirm part numbers are as follows:

    ATSC: TW-04C72K
    DVB: TW-0DRVW7

yes, it is most definitely useless. I have one of the lucky OCZ solid 3 drives. It worked out of the box and has been working fine ever since with the sandforce drivers or whatever

Not really matix, they also base your score on HDD space also. That should be a factor, but not that big of a factor like WIE makes it (1TB HDD @ 5400rpm is faster than 500GB HDD @ 5400RPM due to the fact that there's less surface area the needle has to move over to reach data, not that significant of a difference however). It's better to just benchmark your score and see how it goes from there

P.S. The way i benchmark HDD for bottleneck is look for the little HDD light and see how long it loads when windows starts or how long it runs when loading software.

Yeah, I don't get it, either. I guess that some must be worse than others, my 1900x1080 HD AG screen is just fine. No smearing, no noticeable effect on light colored scenes, etc. Since I have to work in brightly lit environments some of the time, the AG is actually helpful, also.

Of course, if I saw one of those beautiful glossy screens that I keep hearing about up close, I might feel differently, but at the moment there's no reason to care *smile*.

I do that too! 14 Second boot time for me
I and never go back to a traditional HDD.
