Me too! Remember what you need to do!

    1) Test USB 3.0
    2) Test LAN (not wLAN)
    3) Test Blu-Ray Drive
    4) Check Keyboard for flexing.
    5) Benchtest and check maximum heat.

I think that's about it for the checklist.....

Thank you guys, I appreiate the reminders... I'll be sure to do all of that and break in the system for a week or so before I change the Ram to 16 Gb...

Thinking of an SSD for it as well, but I want to use a 240Gb or larger and they are still a bit Exy for my budget.... But the prices are dropping...

I'm happy my compromise, with a 120GB SSD for C: drive (OS), and with the backup 500GB D: drive, have lots of space for data. Lots of space on both drives at this point. Keeping your data on the secondary (rotating) drive really makes a lot of sense, and gives you more flexibility when it comes to backup, etc. It is true that the larger SSD's are a slight bit faster, but just switching between rotating drive and SSD is such a performance boost, don't care about the scooch more speed *smile*.

Each to their own, though. Nice to have the SSD speed and still have lots of space in my opinion *smile*. This is my first laptop with two hard drive bays, and I'm enjoying that.

Newegg.com and TigerDirect.com are the same price this weekend.

SSD's are finally getting within reach of the mass market.

Nice..... I might pick one up for myself and give my 120GB to my fiance, and let her use the 640GB O.E. HP HDD for storage of her movies and whatnot..... GREAT deal!
