Did you mean this panel? Because this is activated using the dell touch panel at the top of the laptop, to get that to work, you have to get quickset working...

Which wireless card do you have? There were/are some issues with the Intel 6230 card not always behaving nicely. There are a couple of threads floating around in here on that card, I sadly payed less attention to the thread then I should have since I have that card and some problems, but there might be a fix in there that works for you?

I have said card and occasionally (not consistently) have the same problems you report. I usually end up turning the wireless off and then back on once (and sometimes twice) when this happens, which will usually clear it up. Annoying for sure, but at least once connected it stays connected. It also has some impressive range

It's the 6230. Yes. Hehe. Might try to uninstall the device, do a reg-clean, then re-install it. Hmmm.

Found another thread about the card, and rolled back to 2011 drivers. Seems to work right again. Seems strange that those newest drivers would work just fine for a couple weeks, then suddenly decide to crap out. Thanks for all the help.

nothing has changed on my system but all of a sudden my power options are all messed up.

the brightness doesn't even show up as an option and i can't change it with the shortcut keys either

anybody have any ideas?

EDIT/FIXED: lookin at the last thing installed was Teamviewer I uninstalled and everything back to normal.

I think he means with this new driver the panel dissapears and he will try and test a driver out? Idk, but for that 'panel' you need the realtek alc665audio driver Drivers and Downloads | Dell [United Kingdom]
