*UPDATE* USB 3.0
Hey guys, thought i'd slam an update on the process for the USB 3.0, I had a technician come and replace my daughterboard USB 3.0 and motherboard today (he reccomended I do all this at once to save some time anyways). Anywho, it's on the A14 bios (currently going to flash A17 Bios for a more up-to-date system). Computer actually idles and runs a lot cooler now that the technician used his own thermal heatsink (go figure) I'm idling on the GPU @ 53C and CPU is around 50C (same as before). A quick Bios update and i'll let you guys know how it goes.

Good to know. Did you initiate the tech-visit through the support chat?

A-13 and my idle temps are between 49-54.
Don't want to ruin any thing by updating Bios.

Yep! That's why I pushed for everyone with problems to go through the chat support, I even linked it for you guys so it's easier (VERY hard link to find). Here's the link again just in case anyone missed it:

I'm chatting with them right now. I hope that this problem is known and I won't have to jump through a bunch of hoops before they concede that a technician is necessary.

Re: Dell XPS 17 (L702x) Thread
I just went from A16 (or maybe 17) back down to A14 as it was still on the site and it does seem to run cooler. Temps idle between 45-55 where as before idle it could go up to 60 before the fan would pull it back down to 45~ then let it build back up to 60 again.

Ahh...it's the run-around then. They say that restoring to factory settings will fix the problem. Grrrrr.
