Sorry I was quoting driver numbers from my head as I was too lazy to check the site
But you get the idea, if he goes from 283(again lazy, number might be off) to 295 then he will see the 25% + increase in FPS in Skyrim. Going from 290 to 295 there won't be a big difference.

@Jyon, I saw this thread appear just after you posted so I assumed it was you who found it and posted there, maybe not, sorry.

It should help, or Dell have a manual for disassembly on their site if. Just goto the Drivers & Download page, enter your service tag and you should be able to find it in there.

    Here is a link, Documentation

If the heavy load is gaming you should switch off Turbo boost, it won't have an affect on 90% of games and will reduce temps.

You can either turn it off in the BIOS or set your Max processor usage to 99% in your power settings.

95c is still far too hot, ive never even been in the 90's with cpu at 100% during full load.

Yes!!!! I fixed the temp issues. I knew it was the fan. I just blew in some air through the lower air-intake (was just thinking of forcibly removing any dust if they was inside without opening the laptop) and restarted the machine. Then ran the same tests again with Furmark and now the fans are "really loud" and performing well. I think it was some dust inside that made the fan perform badly.

Now my temps are back to normal, 70-80C under full load and, yes I tried your methods of 99% cpu clock and that's giving even lower temperatures at around 55-70C under full load.

The hot air was blocked inside since fans were not working at full speed. The heat spread throughout the inner body and even affected the HDD whose temps used to go to 55-60 (now it's back to normal 40's). Thanks so much for helping I can now hear the LOUD FAN once more after around 2-3 months! lol

Haha not THAT loud but, pretty audible, that too under heaviest load. Like it was when I bought the laptop 4 months before. It's now actually throwing the hot air out. Strong fan!

Under normal condition, it's very silent.

I got mine for little less (1199 swiss francs), same specs but with a 1080P Full HD screen. I got it from a retailer thought, same spec directly from Dell was more expensive. Got it 3 weeks ago
