Dell XPS 17 (L702x) Thread

Dell have moved my delivery date forward from next Friday to the Tuesday. That's just under a week from ordering to delivery. Very impressed, when I ordered my XPS M1530 a few years ago it took over a month.

Where is it stated on the invoice if one has L701x or L702x? Don't have the item yet, but want to know where to look?

L702X is the current shipping model, not sure how you could have purchased an L701x unless you purchased from the outlet...

Also the L702x has second generation i7 processor and 1080p screen as an option.

and just curious how do you not know which you purchased?

Not for the uk tho i see.

there is a different code for the uk, the i posted a few pages back i got my l702x for 570 pounds, (i5 , not i7 though)

Thanks for the clarification. When using the apps @ Dell order site, all the details are spelled out except the 702 vs 702 feature. I did order this week so per your def it is a 702x. Also it's good to know the L702x has the i7/1080p option. I reviewed my order and for some reason they do not state the L702x attribute, therefore I asked.

Agreed, my first L702x took 2-3 weeks to get. This one (the 3D model in my sig) took about 4 days I called Dell and they told me about two weeks, but to my surprise it arrived about an hour ago!

just for kick i found my packing slip which shows L702X on the Resource DVD entry and the item number for the XPS 17 is 225-0587

That is good to know, the packing page ought to list it. It will be interesting to check mine when it arrives. Additionally, checking the item number to yours.
I see you have the 1080p screen. I ordered the 900p assuming it displayed text better. Have you used the 900p?
