No, They closed the assembly plant in Ireland a while back and moved production to Asia.

My L701x shipped from China.

BTW. I have been notified of the tracking details via UPS and Delivery is now Scheduled to be any time between 9.00 and 5.30 on Monday 21st.

Looking forward to getting The L702x with Full hd 3d 1080p screen

Yes, Agree. I wanted it for the FHD screen rather than 3D capabilities. However, I have to say my friend's HP Envy 17.3 FHD 3D does a fine job with 3D games and movies and he's also linked it to a 120hz 24" external monitor for larger 3D display. Looks very good.

I saw an Acer 3D display in the airport the other day and was really impressed. It was the nVidia glasses on a 24" LCD. If the dell is half as good I'll be happy!

Although i feel it will be a good laptop ,i have that ,its finally coming after a long wait nervy feeling ,not wanting to be disappointed.

I share the same feeling with you too. I've ordered the laptop (non 3D screen) on Feb 28 but it is still "In production". I'm in the UK.

I just got off the phone with Dell and called them on the "memory shortage" problem. Told them I ordered my xps 17 a week earlier then the Xps 15, both with 6GB and the 15 is already shipping...

She tried to give the standard rabble, but I explained I am a Dell partner and they looked at my acct and they became veeeeery nice after that. They said they were sorry and upgraded me to NBD shipping. That was nice! I told them I appreciated it. The only explanation she and her manager could give would be that they are working their butts off to get the machines out in the order they were placed. They are trying to be fair.

But they were VERY nice. OMG they were nice and understanding.

You are really lucky as you are a Dell partner. I wish I am one too. It will surely help in many cases. I have come across an occasion where I had to make a few calls to Dell regarding my Dell Studio 1555 just before the warranty expired. They were really good as they want me to purchase an extended warranty! To be fair, they have changed the motherboard/heatsink/fan three times in two weeks before the shutdown problem got resolved.
