"RGBLED + 4670 + quad core i7 = perfect storm for throttling"
thats me, but with my 1710 130 watt adapter and an external display no throttling at all... but my display is at work now so i will be using the rlaptop screen so we will see if there is any issue now. formatting now, going to try to streamline the windows 7 install as much as possible.RANGERS LEAD THE WAY

Re: **The Official Studio XPS 1645 Intel Core i7 "Owners Lounge" - Part 2
Hi Guys,
I'm new here, I found this site on Google. I just received my new Dell Studio XPS 16 as a replacement for standard Studio 15 with i7 proc. which was overheating...
I would like to ask about the screen resolution. My new XPS has FULL HD but when I browse internet (IE8), everything looks very small-fonts, icons etc...??? I found that very strange. It looks like full HD is good for watching movie but not the best for browsing internet and this is the primary use of my laptop. I tried to change zoom level to 150% (125% is default) but it looks odd....
Any suggestions? Thanks for your advice and please bear with me..English is my 5th language and this is my first laptop purchase in 10 years...
Bob
