but I got an email today that says we will be sending them out for 1647 as well.
Does #5 apply now to 1647's in production or do we wait as posted

If you find out differently at that time, or if we need to revisit the 130 Watt question on 1647, just let us know after you install A04.

1647 (with Dual Cores), BIOS A04 and the 130w adapter does not throttle , even with the RGBLED @ Full Brightness.

I posted the same info in the other thread but this won't be buried as quickly so I'll post it here as well.

Chinese New Year is February 14th this year, on the same day as Valentine's Day. I can't imagine Dell releasing the BIOS on a Saturday or a Sunday so I guess they are aiming to release it on or before this Friday, February 12th.

OK. I knew something was too good to be true. Just got an email from the engineer. He says that 1647 will not require a 130 Watt adapter. If you find out differently at that time, or if we need to revisit the 130 Watt question on 1647, just let us know after you install A04.

Everything else is going according to plan, except my wife says I have to take a break and play with my son. I'll be back after he goes to bed.

Very, very very great news.

I hope this fixes everything, I allready liked the system when not gaming, but I would like to see it's full potential in CPU/GPU intense applications.

If its true that the 1647 doesnt need a 90 watt adapter then thats great, it saves us all some trouble. But if not, well.. that would be awful and an ignorant way for Dell to handle this..

Go play with your son, you've done enough!
