Any suggestions? Chaz took out the trash!
I'm using the normal 720p screen and the following CCC Avivo settings give me the most natural color.

    Hue - 15
    Saturation - 105

This thing is fast! I'm running the T9800, and it blazes through just about anything I can put through it. Vista loads up nice and there wasn't much in the way of crapware to remove that I found. This is my first Vista machine btw, still getting used to it.

The screen is amazing, albeit there is a problem with the color right out of the box. I have no idea why people complain so much, it's easily fixable by calibration, and if you want professional calibration results, easy solutions are available for as low as 50-75 dollars. But Blu Rays looks better on this than on my Samsung 40 inch 1080p.

I have little to no heat problems so far. Under heavy processor load, the two cores only managed to hit 68 C or so before throttling down to 40-50 via fan. I am using the 9-cell right out of the box though, so I can't tell you if the 6-cell runs any hotter. I am using the hottest possible config, the T9800 with the 7200 rpm 500 GB drive and nothing.

Finger prints? I own a PS3, a PSP, Samsung tv, and Zune, all in glossy piano black. I'm used to it. Don't really care.

Slot load drive, I still need to get used to.
congratulations on your buy! getting the 9 cell was a smart choice and I foresee no temperature problems for you! enjoy

Don't go, just stay, we need to continue to discuss the Dell Studio XPS 16 and all of it's features.

Why is the Dell logo on the SXPS 13 and SXPS 16 different?

here's a question for all you savy folks out there

i'm sure you might scoff at the notion that I am even asking this question but whats undervolting?

I've been seeing it as one of the solutions people have used for their hot sxps

another question, i duno what undervolting is exactly so this might sound stupid too, but wouldn't that make your cpu less powerful?

Hi Guys I was just wondering on what laptop backpack to get for my 16
I have already seen the laptop bag article on nbr but sadly we dnt get any of those here.
I was browsing thru the Targus Indian site and this is the best i could manage to pick out
    http://www.targusonline.com/productd...&sid=4&ssid=13

although the bag supports Computer Compatibility Dimensions of
    36.4 x 30 x 4.3 cm

while the 16 has dimensions of
    38.5cm x 25.5cm x 2.4cm

so will it be a problem if i get this bag o.o

Has anyone tried to buy a laptop bag in India (to all the Indian Dell SXPS 16 owners..)

been awhile since i've checked in. My SXPS16 is still going strong with little to no problems.

That being said i see there is an update for vista 64 Service Pack 2. How is this thing working for our machines? Should I upgrade?

Actually I wasn't going to stay where stuff like that was tolerated. I have been vindicated and he has been banned. Viva le 4670!!!
