M1330 audio over HDMI
Is it true that you have to change a setting everytime you plug your laptop in over HDMI to get the audio to come through the HDMI port vs the default of laptop speakers/3.5mm headphone jack?
Also, I read of problems when playing media with 5.1 audio...does this mean that when I play a DVD through my M1330 and I have it connected via HDMI, the audio isn't going to pass through the HDMI to my monitor/monitors built in crappy stereo speakers?
THANK YOU!!!!Last edited by shaba230; 1st July 2008 at 05:58 PM.

Yes as far as i know. Its a pain doing it everytime. Is it true that you have to change a setting everytime you plug your laptop in over HDMI to get the audio to come through the HDMI port vs the default of laptop speakers/3.5mm headphone jack?
You can choose digital out on either your notebook or through the HDMIAlso, I read of problems when playing media with 5.1 audio...does this mean that when I play a DVD through my M1330 and I have it connected via HDMI, the audio isn't going to pass through the HDMI to my monitor/monitors built in crappy stereo speakers?

Re: M1330 audio over HDMI
Im also interested for that function but instead i just use my Logitech Z3 speakers pluggedi-in my notebook, saves me from switching back and forth. The HDTV audio isnt all that great anyway.

I think there's a "Use as default" radio button you can enable somewhere...
