Default Upgrade M1330 to Penryn

I bought my M1330 in December, I'm wondering can I upgrade it to a Penryn chip? The lower power and cooler operation would be nice, I did a search on Google and found a site selling them and it stated that the CPU was incompatible with previous chips, is this true, or would it work?

Works just fine. I've had a T9300 in my m1330 for a month now with no problems. I runs cooler and battery life increased a little as well.

Superb! Thanks for the info
Do you notice any speed increase, or is it really too small to notice?

I couldn't find the site I found a couple of days ago, but found this site which has them: http://www.zebracomputers.co.uk/mobi...-duo-c846.html

They have the new 1600FSB chips as well apparently.

Send an email to networld at ms79.hinet.net requesting a price list. I picked mine up in Dec. for $270 shipped.
