Dell - Order Experience India

I got mine for 72,271 INR. Exactly the same config ! Even though 1.2k is nothing as compared to the total product cost I was just wondering what the extra 1.2k was for .

i also ordered :-Targus Curve 16" Backpack (grey/platinum) 1
and it may be the intel wifi 5300(i upgraded)

both are near 1300 this is the difference which may have occurred between our configuration.

else u got a better deal than me...

nice deal . Pls if you can opt for 2 years XPS premiere with 2years complete cover. As Dell laptops in my experience need that.

thanks for the suggestion,but as i had already ordered, so to change the service plan i need to cancel it and reorder with the change which will cause more delay in by delivery date.

i will buy /renew the subscription when the current one will expire.

Estimated delivery date :4th November 2010
manufacturing status:-Work in progress.

i got call from Dell .they told me the delivery is delayed because of unavailibity
of LCD panel.
they will update my status on or after 12 october 2010.

Although you payed 5000 more for a better laptop from a better company.....
I dont know about others but i do regret my purchase.

may I know why ?
i know there are vaios with ATI 5650s(without any i7s, and poor rams) around 50-60K in the market, but, I'm happy with my purchase. no overheating and throttling so far. even 2-3 hrs of playing Crysis(on high at 1280x720 with 2xAA) or MW(all settings high) never takes my gpu above 74C. max i've seen was 77C. I'm loving it. though very angry with the really stupid heat vent concept of blowing air directly at the screen.

sorry for the late reply, it was the 5300, I had the 1520 card ! I do have the backpack included.

about the order, I placed it on 14 sep and got it delivered on 21 sep, guess dell didn't give me a chance to complain and get a free soundbar like bharatbharija.

you are really lucky.my order got canceled.they say that i7 is now not available with Full HD .
i will get my refund on Thursday .as compensation i am getting a targus backpack.

I hate to say this, but, taking a note from the non-availability of good configurations it looks like they are going to introduce the xps 15 and 17 in the indian market too. my new laptop is going to be outdated soon .
i'm perhaps the last few to receive those.
btw will you be getting the backpack for free without the laptop ?

yes.....they are giving me laptop backpack as compensation for the money and time i spent.i got my full refund but still waiting for the laptop bag.

the new series is not i want.you are lucky that you have the old one.the old one got more power and looks far better than new XPS.

now i am planning to buy HP DV6 select edition or ENVY 17.
