Pink 1720s - Who ordered one and when is your ESD?

For those of you that ordered a Flamingo Pink 1720, when did you order it and when is your delivery date? I ordered mine on 7/18 and had an original ship date of 8/1, which has now been changed to 8/7. Dell says that nothing is out of stock, and that they have all the parts needed for my computer (not sure if I believe that tho).

I ordered mine on 7/23 and the estimated ship date is 8/17. I didn't order the web cam. Hopefully that will work in my favor!

8 Weeks Is Wayyyyyyyyy Too Long To Wait And Then When The 28th Comes They Will Probably Delay Again.....hell...maybe We Wont See Our Lappys Until Christmas!

I ordered the webcam. But even if I hadn't, something tells me I'd prolly still have a delay. This sucks so bad. Last night, my laptop nearly died on me. The connector for the ac adapter is loose (prolly need a whole new motherboard), kicked the bucket, or so I thought. Finally got it to "pick up" on the ac adapter, and now have the cord TAPED to my laptop desk in hopes that it will hang on long enough for the new laptop. Seriously considering cancelling and reordering.

How is it that some people on here are able to talk to CSRs and get info on the backordered stuff, and others get the same old line that "nothing's on backorder and all parts are in stock"? If I knew FOR SURE I could get a black one quicker, I'd order one of those. If they change my shipdate again, that's prolly what I'll do.
