This is the first time i've owned an ATI video card in a notebook. I've always had Nvidia cards and had the ability to run their drivers directly from the Nvidia website. If ATI catalyst 11.8 drivers are out how can we use them in lieu of the Dell drivers? Can we?

I don't know if you know, but I have recommended people to use Catalyst over the Dell drivers for their laptops. You can simply just download the Catalyst 11.8 WHQL off of ATI's website and just install over the Dell ones. The FirePro's can easily take without any problems the Catalyst Drivers, especially when you have the Dell driver as a base.
