Can you use the mini PCI-e for primary HD and leave the 2.5'' bay empty ?

Now that the IPS screen is available with the quadro 2000m, does switchable graphics work?

I don't understand why it's only now available. I got my laptop in July with IPS and 2000M. Optimus doesn't work, but if they've found a way around it, that'd be great news.

although, not sure why you'd want to leave it empty when you can leave your HDD in there for extra storage space. Personally, I have a 80GB in the mSATA slot and a 1TB in the HDD caddy. My OSs reside on the 80GB and everything else (eg: virtual machines, ISOs, movies, music, etc.) resides in the 1TB. Its a perfect combo. If youre worried about extra power usage, just set the HDD to spin down sooner to save power. Just my 2 cents.

You can simply remove the HD by pul the tray out .. and maybe replace it with another HD (hot swap ? .. maybe .. i dont know) .. or leave it empty in some times ..

but Dell when you plase an order .. does not let you .. !!!
