M6600 Owners Thread
Got IT! 1 week from ordering!
Initial Impressions are good.
For M6500 owners its very similar, but because of the 16:9 it seems a lot wider.
Non IPS HD screen seems very decent.
Build quality seems to be as good as the M6500.
The keyboard has nasty keys compared to the M6500 and moderate flex.
Alps touchpad
Synaptics > Alps
BIOS comes set to RAID even with one HDD.
NO OPTION OF SANDY BRIDGE INTEL GRAPHICS ONLY ON ATI MODEL
Power brick is the same size as the Slim adapter of the M6500, very wide.
Machine comes with 2nd HDD bracket when ordered with only one HDD, but no extra screws.
Mechanical HDD is a TOSHIBA MK5061GSY 500GB
Changing Hard Drives is easier than the M6500 the Primary bay slides right out.
Power on to end off POST and OS start is remarkably quick
There is a UEFI only boot option which i'm not going to test a legacy BIOS is more than sufficient.
The money shot

Re: M6600 Owners Thread
That is really fast assembly and delivery. It's a pity about the lack of switchable graphics -- we knew it from what havoctex said in the other thread, but it's still disappointing since AMD does have this implemented in other laptops. Looking forward to further info.
Also, what do you mean by "nasty keys"?

Re: M6600 Owners Thread
The key is beveled so the surface area of the key is only 1cm, just feels strange on the fingers.

Re: M6600 Owners Thread
Thanks a lot for the quick first-look comments. Looking forward to your detailed review!
Please elaborate on the feel of the keyboard and the Alps touchpad. I use the internal keyboard and the touchpad 90% of the time, so that would be very important. Thanks!

Re: M6600 Owners Thread
By the way, is that the backlit keyboard or the standard one?
