I agree. 6 weeks is ridiculous. They even apoligized for being so late with the delivery for the m6400 when they took my order for the m6500.

the m6400 i had ordered was just over 8 weeks in production when i cancelled as they had pushed the order further back again for about the fifth time

all due to me wanting the antiglare 1900x1200 rgb led screen ....

they also took the money from my credit card so with all their messing about with the machine then once i cancelled it they couldnt find any record of my payment so therefore said they didnt have anything to refund

this meant having to go through my bank and provide emails to my bank proving i had tried on multiple times to cancel and get my money back

so all in i think iv had to pay 3 months of minimum payment to a machine that i never received ....

Notebook Check has the Mobility HD5870 on their site as a real card, but they also say the info is based on rumor and leaks. I trust them enough to think that they have good information. They also have it ranked above the FX3800M.

They also have a nice little "Hands On" review of the M6500.

The more I read about the M6500, the sicker it gets!!! That is one awesome notebook. I like the fact that there are 2 standard places for 2.5" hard drives, 1 optional 2.5" hard drive via ODD removal, and 1 miniPCIe SSD. If it supports 12.5mm drives, you could get X25-M 160GB G2 drive, 2x 1TB HDDs, and another small 64GB SSD for miniPCIe... insanity.

I think their description of available hard drive storage was a bit confusing.

"And again a modular drive slot allows to either insert an optical drive or a second hard drive."

"Up to two standard hard drives or two SSDs and an additional SSD-Mini-Card are supported."

From what I understand in the first statement, only 1 internal hard drive bay is available (should've been "or up to a third hard drive").
The second statement makes things a bit clearer, but nowhere in the article does it state the 6500M can be configured with 3 2.5" hard drives.

    the sound is horrible though
I would love to have one, but don't think I can justify 3.5 to 4K as I would have to have RGBLED, and high end GPU because once I've over 3K, it doesn't make sense to me not to I may have to stick with the 15in variety.

Thanks for the vid link, very informative.

EDIT: What do I know...I ordered an M6500
