Some of the basics we saw. Scheduled for release in 2 weeks.
Anyone got more details?

Re: Dell Latitude Z series
Maybe it's Michael Dell behind the keyboard?
Sounds like a Sony laptop though...Want to help? The Media Player Classic Home Cinema (MPC-HC) project is looking for developers, testers and helpers for icons and maintaining the website - link.

Re: Dell Latitude Z series
Sure you didn't mishear somebody say "E-Series"? Not aware of any Z-series. If you have a link to what you're asking about that would be most helpful.

Re: Dell Latitude Z series
Never heard of it, and I haven't heard of any rumors of Dell releasing anything new.
There's a Sony Vaio Z series, are you positive you don't have it confused? The price point is about the price of the Sony Z....

Re: Dell Latitude Z series
Rebadged Adamo, anyone???
But I think a Z series is highly unlikely, simply because of the Dell naming convention. There was the C series, then the D series, and now the E series. Maybe like an E2xxx? But a Z series? That seems like it would come out of left field, and for Dell, that's not very typical.
Then again, they did name one of their printers "Wasabi", so I guess anything is possible...Dell Latitude E6400: Intel Core 2 Extreme X9100 3.06GHz, Nvidia Quadro 160M, 4GB DDR2, 160GB @ 7200RPM, WXGA+ LED, Backlit KB, 9Cell
Dell Inspiron 5150: Intel Pentium 4 Mobile HT 3.2GHz, Nvidia Geforce FX Go 5200, 1GB DDR, 60GB @ 7200RPM, SXGA+ CCFL

Re: Dell Latitude Z series
It definitely said "Latitude Z" on it. And I believe the model will be called "Z600" for the 15in.
Wish I could place bets with you guys. Just wait 2 weeks and we'll see.
I've got no motivation to make this stuff up. Its a rockin new Latitude Z, you'll see!
