Default New Dell IDT Audio driver

Dell has released a new IDT driver. The links says A05 but the file name is A06.

    XP or Vista.

    Compatibility

    Latitude E4200
    Latitude E4300
    Latitude E5400
    Latitude E5500
    Latitude E6400
    Latitude E6400 ATG
    Latitude E6500
    Dell Precision Mobile WorkStation M2400
    Dell Precision Mobile WorkStation M4400
    Dell Precision Mobile WorkStation M6400

    Fixes and Enhancements
    Added DUP package.
I haven't a clue what the DUP package is. The real change, as far as I can see, is that I no longer have to manually disable the internal speakers in order to get bass out through the external audio device.

Working OK here on XP, thanks.

I used VLC to playback an MP3 for testing, and noticed the "easter" egg - nice!

The drivers work as well for me. I had the stacsv.exe 50% consistently problem with my system too. My solution was to just kill it in the task manager. I haven't had the problem yet with these drivers.

Go to the drivers and downloads section of the Dell support site and feed in your service tag and the system will list the current versions of downloads for your individual hardware configuration.
