E6400 versus Thinkpad X200
Anyone else considering the E6400 and the X200.
The traveling weight of the X200 is 1 pound lighter but the DVD is part of the docking station which costs $200 and would be a pain to travel with. But then again, when was the last time I even used the DVD on my laptop? I only use it when I install new programs that are on CD, which is almost never.
The X200 comes with Bluetooth integrated...the E6400 still doesn't have that option annoyingly.
I think at this point I would get the X200 but it's a lot more expensive. So many **** tradeoffs....I'm going to pull the trig next week.

Re: E6400 versus Thinkpad X200
Seems like this comparison is pretty much like comparing apples and oranges. Wouldn't it be better to compare x200 vs. e4xxx or T400 vs E6400?

Re: E6400 versus Thinkpad X200
The T400 is too big. And the e4XXX has one of those low voltage processors. If the e4XXX had the regular processor....then I'd get that...but then it's not out yet anyway.

The E4300 has the same processor options as the X200. http://www.dell.com/content/products...=us&l=en&s=biz
Its also almost exactly the same size, slightly larger footprint but thinner and larger screen.

Re: E6400 versus Thinkpad X200
I was sure that my next laptop would be an X200 but now I must seriously consider the E4300. The X200 has a large footprint for its screen size and the lower quality of the new thinkpad keyboards worries me. I am eager to see full reviews of these new latitudes.

Re: E6400 versus Thinkpad X200
Well, the new Latitude E4300 is expensive in comparison to the X200 for almost the same features. (E4300 has a backlit keyboard option which is very nice but X200's keyboards are more solid and waterproof).. But it does look very nice and is more comparable to the X300/X301 because of the screen size, DVD-rom and touchpad. However the difference between the Dell and the X300/301 is the ability not to choose an SSD. It does look a lot prettier than the X200/300 but that shouldn't warrant paying $1,000 more for a laptop simply because it has a slightly nicer screen and dvd-rom..
I would still consider both and see which one suits your needs more. You will certainly get the E4300 much sooner than the X200 with a 9 cell... I can attest to that...
