FAQ
Quote:
Q: Can you make a BIOS mod to disable Optimus?
A: I can't do that. Some people say it is impossible.

Q: Does 0.85v offer the same performance as 0.83v or is there a difference?
A: They offer the same performance. But 0.85v may be more stable than 0.83v. 0.85v runs hotter as well.

Q: My FPS suddenly decreases? My laptop seems to overheat? I need help!
A: Google how to make a new power scheme or power plan based on the high performance scheme. You cna do this by clicking the battery icon in your system tray. Create a new power plan based on the 'High Performance' one. Next give it a proper name and then go to 'Processor settings'.
From there, set maximum processor speed to 99%.
What will this do? It will prevent your CPU from using Turboboost while still allowing it to use it's base frequency, for example 2.0GHz for the 2630QM. This saves a lot of power. Undervolting the GPU may work in combination as well.
Never play with turbo boost left on. Turn it on as described above to maintain full performance and decent temperatures!

Q: Which software do I use from the included package?
A: If you want to flash from DOS, use AFUDOS. If you have 32-bit Windows use afuwin32, etc. If you don't know what DOS, 32-Bit or 64-Bit Windows is, good piece of advice: "Don't flash!"

Q: How do I decide how much voltage my GT-525M needs? Can I flash the 0.83v mod?
A: To optimally find your minimally needed voltage for your GT-525M is by first flashing the 0.83v mod. Then play games. If it doesn't crash, that means you will be fine. If it crashes, try the 0.85v mod. If that crashes use 0.9v, ... And work your way up.
My testing has proven some games might run stable while some do not. This is why it's important to work your way up.
