Installing Windows XP Pro on Studio 15

I need some help on installing windows xp on my Studio 15. I now that the Studio 15 has similiar configuration specs as the XPS M1530 so I thought that the driver pack by Udi would work well but Dell has changed some thing between the XPS and the studios such as the Dell Wireless Bluetooth 370 on the Studio instead of the 355 bluetooth as on the xps also the 256MB ATI® Mobility Radeon HD 3450 instead of the Nvidia 8600 gt card on the xps and the new Dell Wireless 1510 802.11n Half Mini-Card on the studio rather than the Dell Wireless 1505 802.11n Half Mini-Card on the xps and if there are any other changes can someone direct me on how to make a driver pack for it that works with windows xp. Thanks. I really need Windows XP for the apps that I use and altogether Windows XP in my opinion is much better for the system and faster.

I know you insist that XP is "much better for the system and faster" but have you considered running XP in a virtual machine using software like Virtual PC or VMWare? This would certainly be easier than having to hunt for drivers from different notebooks on Dell's site.

I know i can use virtualization software to run windows xp on windows vista but i would still like to reformat and do a clean install of xp.

I don't have my Studio 15 yet, however I am going to guess that since its so new, people have not had the chance to get it working, or really look for solutions yet usually it takes a little time.

Thanks for the reply robstuart but do you think that in the near future (3-4 months) even though Dell will only have the Bluetooth 370 and Dell Wireless N half Mini card drivers for windows vista that there will still be hope for a really good driver pack coming out with modded drivers to work with windows xp? I am just anxious to know that if this is possible then I can hang on to Vista for a couple of months then switch over to XP. If you or anyone else can clear this for me then I am ready to buy this machine now!

So any answers?

Stop that, the board doesn't move that fast that you need to pump every hour or so, and besides it's against forum rules.
Chances are it'll be difficult - but what software do you have that won't run on Vista?
Don't believe the scare stories - since the release of SP1 Vista is on par with XP.

Vista is an unacceptable OS in my view and I will certainly do everything that I can to install Windows XP cleanly when I buy the Studio 15.

Thanks for the reply donwilson, glad to see that someone is on my side and against Vista but I am just itching to figure out how to get the Vista Drivers to work on Windows XP.
