Inspiron 1520 Vista x64 drivers

I noticed in the past few weeks that more and more people got interested in Vista x64 from the NBR community. Kudos to Trebuin and flamenko here (being the Google Page Ranking folks for x64). And quite a few are using dell hardware, especially the very popular 1520.

Therefore I decided to share my personal driver pack for Vista x64, that includes all drivers for my config. (just click the links and download, I'll upload the whole package when I find some more time)

Here a small overview:
Graphics: Nvidia 169.04 (modded for mobile use 8600M GT)

With most of these drivers you'll have to use the "have disk" method, except the chipset inf utility, which you'll have to run.

Have fun with Vista x64.
On a personal note I really recommend making a customized Vista Install image with vlite, it saves a lot of tweaking and you have all updates and drivers included + you can cut down on the bloat that Vista installs by default.

Running here as well, I really hate the folder layout option views though, I wish i had XP classic folder view controls. Other then that its smooooth sailing so far. Never going back to 32bit except to XP pro for music production.

When I DL'd the Nvidia 169.04 vista 64 drivers from lap2go the package says 169.02 though.

Yeah they are mislabeled I think. I tried installing the 169.09 drivers, but the .inf file must not have been modded correctly b/c it said it wasn't a valid Vista driver.

Sure,

as long as you have teh same hardware (should be the case with a Vostro 1500). But as usual, check first.
