Thanks for letting me know chief! (reborn).
MolocM17x-It'll cost $310 + shipping/insurance via USPS. You can go to www.usps.com, input about 1.5 lbs and it will give you a rough estimate of the cost.

re: [SOLD] Dell/Alienware nVidia GTX 580M x 2
I just fried the 4870 in my M17r2. Any chance the heat sink from my 4870 would work? I know it requires a different X-bracket (which I see you're including), but unsure about the heat sink.
Edit: I've also read a few posts around here about throttling issues with the 580m. Has this card had the VBIOS fix done to prevent throttling?Last edited by FloorPizza; 20th August 2012 at 03:31 AM.

re: [SOLD] Dell/Alienware nVidia GTX 580M x 2
Appreciate the info.. I'll look around a bit for a heat sink that would work. If I can find one, I'll buy one of your cards. Anxious to get my machine working again.
Edit: i found a heatsink on ebay. It's supposed to be the updated heatsink to help with the throttling issues of the 580m, but it's for an r3. (link: Alienware M17xR3 Video Card Heatsink - V1K2G | eBay). Any idea if this would work in an r2?
I apologize for all the questions.. just trying to buy the parts needed to get my machine working again.
