Nope, not at all. The frequencies of the chips are very close (2.40 GHz vs. 2.53GHz).

For a meaningful upgrade, jump to a

- T9600 (2.80GHz)
- T9800 (2.93 GHz)
- T9900 (3.06GHz)

I would recommend a T9800. Since T9900 is "top of the line" it is extra expensive. Performance-wise there is a negligible difference between a T9800 and a T9900.

Before buying my item, I suggest to check your temps when freezing occurs to see if its really the heat causing the freeze.

Let me answer on behalf of him/her: Yes, it is.

The frequency increase will be around 19% (2.13 GHz -> 2.53GHz). Furthermore it will double the L2 cache (3MB -> 6MB). These benefits will come at no additional power cost (25W -> 25W).

If you have the money, go for it... You won't regret.
