Compal not recognized on Crucial Website
So trying to search by manufacturer at the crucial memory website, I couldn't find Compal. I opened up the "live chat" and asked one of their salespeople, and they said they've never heard of Compal. Why have they never heard of the 2nd largest laptop maker? Should I be concerned about buying a new PowerPro laptop?

Re: Compal not recognized on Crucial Website
Crucial works with just about everything. Just buy the standard SODIMM at whatever speed grade you want and you'll be OK.

Re: Compal not recognized on Crucial Website
Believe it or not there are still some people that do not know how this industry works, and that the ODMs are not "public" knowledge.
I am surprised that a Crucial salesperson wouldn't know the ODMs, but as ZaZ says they are probably new...and as soon as they left your conversation they asked around and learned about Quanta, Compal and the other "silent" ODMs.Donald@PowerNotebooks.com | Phone: 877-711-1777 - CALL US FOR NOTEBOOKREVIEW ACTIVE MEMBER DISCOUNTS
