I was wondering if anyone had come accross a similar problem to mine. every once in a while when i boot my laptop, i can't hear anything out of my speakers. upon further investigation it seems like the driver doesn't load at startup. When i reboot it everything works and i can see the little speaker in the task bar again.

I have tried upgrading the driver and i now have the latest one. same problem persists. It only happens once every 6 or 7 times i boot up.
