From the specs I've seen on retailers, the resolution is your standard 1366*768 fare. The display is matte though.

Seems to be a great all around laptop. Definitely comparable to HP's Envy series in my eyes.

As I say in nearly every post on here, though, is that I wish these would come with a Thunderbolt port. When eGPUs take off I want a laptop to take advantage of it. Especially one with a metal case, full voltage processor, and a WINDOWS machine.
The laptop with its design and specs makes it an enticing Envy contender. I don't know about Thunderbolt otherwise being present on Macs but perhaps Intel will standardize it in the future ala Vaio Z lightpeak.

Shops list it with varying specs but from what I've seen there's DDR3 1600MHZ, 1TB/750GB(7200&5400RPM), 7-in-1 card reader, 1MP Camera on board.
    Alienware M11X R3 "Hikaru" Stealth Black/Core i5 1.6GHZ/6GB 1333MHZ DDR3 RAM/256GB SSD/Nvidia GT540M

    Nextlist: Ivy/Trinity-powered laptop.

envy is still thinner and the card they are predicted to put in it should be better than gt 650m ddr

listed at 6lbs and 1.3 in thick. really wish they could have brought it down to 1.1 to match the envy.

Are the specs people are talking about for the 14" version, though? Yes, I love the Envys but a 650m in a 14" form factor would be amazing. Not to mention I much prefer Optimus compared to ATI's solution. Especially since ATI's solution is in its infancy.

But, again, I just want a "sexy" laptop with THUNDERBOLT that isn't a damn Ultrabook. Asus said back in January they were going to make the Thunderbolt part happen. I guess I just have to keep waiting..

If thickness means a better cooling system, by all means I'm up for it.

GT650M is perfect for its size (At least for the N46). Any higher and it would compete with ASUS' own G series.

I think N46 only has 1366x768 resolution. Full hd maybe it's to much for 14' (people always complain that full hd in 15'6 make things very small, imagine in 14'). But i think that hd+(1600x900) will be perfect for N46
