    I think the G55 is near 1500 with only a 660m GPU...
I'm having trouble specing out a P150em around 1300 though. Xotic has the best discounts and free shipping, but I live in Nebraska so that's an extra 7% tax. All the other resellers don't have free shipping and that adds quite a bit.

well it depends on what type of card you want to get. if you were looking to spend as much as you were for the g55, (a g55 with 95% screen is $1429.78) where as a p150em with same sscreen, 3610qm and 7970m is $1565.58 alittle more than $100 for 3x the gpu performance, much less weight/bulkiness (2.5 lbs), and probably more battery life. I personally would pitch in the $100 more if you were considering the g55 in the beginning but if your budget is 1300 then both comps are out of your range

I called xotic as well and was told that to their knowledge the machine will come with GDDR5

It's just not possible that they are the only ones with that version

Yes very strange but would be awesome if it did come with GDDR5, especially since I already pre-ordered mine!

I just did some minor upgrades:
12gig RAM, Thermal compound, SSD and different wifi card w/ WIDI.

Altogether it was $1552 with discounts.

PS. Free advice: If you own a business in the US, 2012 is the last year you can deduct 100% of certain assets, such as computers, on your taxes instead of depreciating it over 5 years. So go ahead and buy the $1500 laptop you always wanted

I took 8GB DDR3, 15.6" fullHD version with 750GB HDD. No further upgrades.
Any info when they come to warehouses? Amazon doesnt set the date, but i should get email as soon as they arrive to them.

Im amazed how good this laptop looks. And the price is just very competitive as well. I couldnt get Clevo W150 with a same price with identical hardware.
Asus looks way better and is way thinner. Just perfect for my little brothers needs.
