I would love to but K93SV is too new and not even release in US yet. Ask me again 3 months later and I'll post the complete disassembly guide.

Ok, I surely will. I'm really pleased about this notebook, really rox, screen quality very good, with splendid utility and so on. And the 3.5 inch HD slot really make it a lot expandable! It is so fast! One day I maybe will upgrade the VGA card: the GT540M is maybe the only less rated component in this assembly

There is a known software problem with this notebook and it is common to all Asus notebooks! It is Power4Gear running only with Administrative privilegies. It is stupid and maybe one day someone should tell Asus to fix this problem. Do u know someone at Asus? He/she could maybe take care of this stupid problem, why should we run Asus notebooks as adminin just for Power4Gear?

Thankx again for your precious help!

Thankx again Ken! Whats the blue number points in the pictures? And looking at the pix, it seems to me there is no extra mini-PCI slot for expansions. Am I correct?

    No problem.

Forget the blue number, it was from the disassembly guide showing how to remove the screws and top case.

the red circle is where the wifi card is.

Non of the Asus laptops has extra mini-PCI slots anymore.

I see... I changed the wi-fi card with no problem. I had an Atheros wi-fi stock (no bluetotooth) and I changed it with a Intel wireless N-1300 card with integrated bluetooth and it works like a charm. Very easy the keyboard disassembly, thankx to your disassembly guide.

So if I want to add a tuner card, the only option, I suppose, is to add an external USB stick. Or am I wrong?

Another question. I want to upgrade the DVD RW with a BDRW. Do u think I can take off the front plastic part from the old drive and attach it to the new LG drive I think to buy? U know, the curvy part on stock DVD RW is proprietary, so if I can attach it to the new drive, II can better adapt the new drive to the K95SV design.

I ask before try to experiment and maybe crash the drive :-(((
