AMD Catalyst 12.3 WHQL – BenchmarK3D
In above article they mentioned 3rd party apps may lose functionality because of the atipdlxx.dll changed, but not sure if that can help with any of the problems you are having.

Re: K53TA.. The best deal ever... could be!
It's interesting because going from 2.0 - 2.2 is a slight increase and going past 2.2 wont give really anything and the heat increases tenfold. Even going 2 vs 2.2 saves me about 6 degrees. So going further is murder.
BTW does anyone have any (SAFE) recommendations for Overclocking the GPU.
I see some people saying they have speeds such as:
Core: 720
Memory: > 1000
_______________
Core: 650
Memory: 1000
_______________
Core: 670
Memory: 990
oh i'd like to know if you gotta change the voltage or not as well (although i'd like to avoid that)Gaming Laptop:

every gpu is made different so you need to test the limit of each GPU
typically I see 700 core and some mem as core clock seem to matter more than mem clock.Dell M6600 : DIY RGB LED IPS / i7-2670QM / M8900 / HyperX3K 120GB / M5M 128GB / 2 Spinner / 28GB DDR3 1333 / Intel 6200 / Atheros AR9382. ll U2711 DIY LP173WF3(SL)(B1) B156HW01 v7

Re: K53TA.. The best deal ever... could be!
no difference. it uses the same winring0 hooks as k10stat.
causes same reboot fail if oc'd.
i don't know what to tell you. that's a tricky one. If you can't find a software solution from google, I would pop out the keyboard and see if the cable is seated properly, though I don't see how that would affect it since it detects something is plugged in, but can't load the drivers.
I think the cable should be accessible from under the keyboard, iirc.
i already had that same atipdlxx.dll in the windows folder the whole time.

Re: K53TA.. The best deal ever... could be!
update to fixed mode + 12.3 cats + k10stat OC reboot fail situation.....
turns out 12.3 cats don't play nice on reboot/shutdown with turbo boost when OC'd.
Workaround = Turn off turbo when OC, and reboot doesn't freeze when switching between dynamic and fixed mode with 12.3 cats.
I had 2.6ghz turbo previously, and I turned off turbo and changed p0 to 2.6ghz just to see if it would freeze.
rebooted fine.
so now we have almost a flawless fixed mode switching, with no reboot problems, but a turbo bug.
the only 2 situations where reboot is successful after switching graphics is at stock cpu speeds with default turbo, and at OC cpu speeds with turbo off.
I don't have the time to find out which dll or sys is causing this glitch, so I'll just leave turbo disabled.
I flashed back to stock bios 212, and k10stat OC + Turbo still causes reboot failure with 12.3 cats installed.
so this affects everyone on 12.3 cats. turn off turbo if you wanna reboot.
do one more thing.

click the driver details button and tell us what it says.Last edited by link626; 6th April 2012 at 05:29 AM.

Re: K53TA.. The best deal ever... could be!
Link626, Big thanks for testing the 12.3 drivers! I added a note to the sd wiki and owners lounge here.
I could only find one other post about someone seeing the same thing. Hopefully a future driver will fix this issue. But it's good that you found a workaround if AMD never fixes it!
update: Many people have also found 12.3 to be buggy in high idle 2nd gpu clock speeds. Have you noticed this bug with your dgpu clock speeds on 12.3 drivers? http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=360731
Now that you know the problems of 12.3, will you be staying with them + modded Bios, or will you be going back to 12.1? Since I've gotten so used to K10stat boost, I plan to stay with 12.1+BiosMod until I hear any major improvements in games on future drivers (eg. 12.4 thru 12.12) If the same bug exists later this year then I'll use newer drivers & remember to use K10stat without boost.
PS. If everything is ok in 12.3 then I'll get them since you said it has flawless switching with K10stat turbo off.Last edited by atoneapone; 6th April 2012 at 12:19 PM.

Re: K53TA.. The best deal ever... could be!
When you guys say flawless switching in fixed mode, does it mean you successfully switch between ONLY the 6650 and ONLY the iGPU?
