The Samsung Series 9 does not have an aluminum case. It's duralumin (which is the metal used in aircraft). I don't think it would have WiFi issues if the case was aluminum.

Do not know how ifaudi got the 7~8MB speed. However I do not think that I am the only one who has this issue.
How far are you away from your router? Also during the transfer you should be able to see the connection speed on task manager or your router admin page. Is it connection at constantly 150 or does it drop Well, I am getting my UX31 tomorrow and I will test it out. Like ifaudi I too have the D-link DIR 655.

I am sitting in the same room as the router. The connection does not drop, just slow. If yours does not has the problem, I will request for an RMA.

Back many years ago I was trying to decide between the two, but opted for the SZ because the M1330 had a long production delay and was quite pricey. Back then, Sometimes I wondered if I should've been patient.

I ended up selling my SZ.. which ended up dying a year later to the person I sold it to.
In terms of reliability, hands down the SZ. In 5 years of ownership, I have not had a single hardware malfunction of failure. My m1330 has had the mobo and LED each replaced twice in the first 2 years of ownership. As they stand today, both have been functioning very well over the past 2 years with no issue.

I use the m1330 more on a day-to-day basis because it is snappier than the SZ. Though they have identical specs in most areas the SZ is limited to 2GB RAM, while the m1330 has 4GB. With modern software and services, my SZ feels sluggish at times. Aesthetically, I have always preferred the 1330. I'm glad I waited the 3 months it took for the 1330 to ship to me in the long run since all the repairs were under warranty, and it is still fast today.

The UX21 has really peaked my interest as it is the first notebook since the SZ/1330 that I feel is a perfect balance of form and function, while being a big step up from that generation of laptops.

Lemme know what happens...I'm interested in this laptop but if the connection problems persist then I'd probably get a MBA or wait for a fix/the next generation of ultrabooks.

Not much of a review, more of a listing of tech specs
