Help Please: N53JQ or N61JQ?
I love shopping, but researching a new laptop always sets my head to spinning!
This will be my 4th laptop (1 Toshiba followed by 2 Dells), and the decision seems to get harder each time.
Trying to decide between the N53JQ-A1 and N61JQ-B2.
N53JQ: 15.6" screen (1366x768), 1024MB DDR3 nVIDIA GT 425M, i7 720QM, 4GB DDR3 1066MHz (Up to 16GB)At least at XoticPC, the laptops are the same price. I have no idea which one to buy or if one reseller is better than another. (Xotic and Newegg seemed to be mentioned most frequently here.)
N61JQ: 16" screen (1366x768), 1024MB DDR3 ATI Radeon HD 5730, i7 740QM, 4GB DDR3 1333MHz (Up to 8GB)
Thanks!

The only difference which *might* be noticeable in daily use is the gpu performance, which you'll have to look up. The screen size, cpu and RAM speed are negligible for perform delta ... only on benchmarks, never in real life.
Newegg leaves you alone if warranty issues arise... Xotic, GenTech and BTOTech all will work with you after the sale to arrange things if something happens. Stick with the resellers.
You really could just pick one based on looks alone, and be fine.Current notebook: MacBook Aluminum (late '08) OS X 10.8
13.3 WXGA | P8600 (2.4GHz) | 4GB DDR3-1066 RAM | Backlit KB | 640GB Samsung M7E 5400 HDD
My youngest daughter's now - may it serve her preschool needs well...
Asus W3a | 14.1 WXGA | Pentium M 740 (1.73Ghz) | 1.5 GB DDR2-533 RAM |
8X DVD+/-RW Dual Layer | 120GB WD Scorpio 5400 HDD

I heard the n61 had heat issues. and might as well get the newer model, unless you're concerned about the graphics card
