Re: Asus RMA and Warranty Guide
This seems to be a trend. I had to call back and have the rep resend the e-mail with the fedex label; he stayed on the line with me until we confirmed I received it.
If anyone else is doing an RMA to Indiana take note, I just checked the status of my RMA on the fedex website and it appears it was delivered to KY instead of Indiana. I called Asus and they said it my laptop was sent to the wrong state based on a shipping label error. He said he would have his supervisor look into it and get back with me. I then called fedex and it turns out that since the Asus Indiana repair location is just over the border of Kentucky where fedex has a shipping hub it just appears that the delivery was in Louisville, KY on their website. Bottom line, everything is fine.

Re: Asus RMA and Warranty Guide
The Asus Canadian RMA turn-around isn't too shabby...sent my Asus in end of last week and its at the "Final Testing" phase as of this afternoon. Sent my old computer to Dell..took at least 5 weeks to get any indication of what they were doing.

Re: Asus RMA and Warranty Guide
I dropped my UL30-VT a few weeks ago (a good 1/3 of the screen was unusable, much of the screen hinges were mangled, and it would not boot every now and then) and invoked my ADW and RMA'd it last week. Waited a 40 minutes on the phone to talk to a rep, who guided me through the process.
A few days later, packaged it up and went to the FedEx office where they told me I had to buy a special laptop shipping box from them, as ordered by the shipping label
It was only 10 dollars...but I wish I knew that before hand so I didn't wrap it up so tight!
It did come with a tracking number, and after getting it shipped on Thursday, I think it was received on Saturday. Checked the RMA status on their website today, and it says its in the "Repairing" phase, so I'll let you know how the rest of the process goes!

Re: Asus RMA and Warranty Guide
Call it took me two weeks to contact someone to get my shipping label. They should ship it back to the rma address that was requested, it depends though, they sent mine to an address in california that was the originial distributer of my notebook, when my rma and fedex label indicated my address was in minnesota. Also you should request that they ship it to the california facility, people have had issues with the indiana facility, myself included. They installed direct x on my machine in an attempt to fix an overheating issue and lied about replacing the vga card.

Re: Asus RMA and Warranty Guide
My reseller sends RMAs to asus so you don't have to - the asus depot is near the wholesaler depot, so it's free for them to do so. Something to look into...

Re: Asus RMA and Warranty Guide
I just requested my RMA yesterday and got the fedex and rma email's but based on the conversation I had with the ASUS rep he made it sound like they were sending out the box to ship it in. Does anyone know if they send the shipping box or do I need to provide my own?
