Battery Wear
NHC sayz my battery wear level is 16%
and my V6J is only one month old. Is that normal?
I've done a recalibration and it still shows up as 16%. Is there a way to bring it down to 0?

Re: Battery Wear
NHC is getting some wrong numbers bro, but i have heard that calibrating increases wear... but i dunno, this is one thing im gonna be puzzled about when i get my laptop.. is battery wear ?? =\
try recalibrate? also drain battery then charge to full, turn ur laptop off and then get another reading, also test if your batterylife decreased from the day of purchased? by 16%?
So for example right when you get ur laptop you should bench ur laptop, and see how much batterylife you get and 3dmark05, tthen after every now and then keep testing to see how effecient your laptop is..
So check out all of that.
Thanks,

Re: Battery Wear
You can download Mobilemeter (google for it).
However, I've found that Mobilemeter generally agrees with NHC; I think they use the same protocol to communicate with the battery. My wear level is 13% after 4 months of use; it really went up early on, but has held steady for the past several months.Rissa (desktop): Silverstone SST-LC03 case, Core 2 Duo E6300, 2GB DDR2, ECS P965-T mobo, 400GB Seagate 7200.9 SATA HD, Sony DVD-RW, Nvidia GeForce 7900GS, Saitek Eclipse II KB, Samsung 731B 17" LCD

Re: Battery Wear
Yep, Mobilemeter agrees with NHC. Battery wear is still 16%

Is a 16% battery wear normal for a less than a month old notebook?

Re: Battery Wear
Take the battery out, blow or wipe the contacts, then put it back in, see if that changes anything
