My $50 dollar cab ride....
Justin,
I screwed up and can't follow directions......
There I said it. LOL
My pitiful story:
Here I am with 10 minutes to catch the cab in Hong Kong, drop into the business centre, check out of hotel, and do a quick check of the Proportable website for the elusive "live" link on the W3J. Woah, it's live! So, whip out the credit card, place order with NBR discount info, pick up some critical accessories. Wait, got a couple of more minutes, ok; log onto NBR forums, click on that tiny W3J thread, no time to read the latest, and post my excitement. Logout, checkout, rollout.....
10 hours later, arrive in Anchorage. I've got some time now, hmmm, let's peruse the forums.
Oh! NBR disount no longer applies, now it's a coupon code that should have been placed with order LMAO!
sigh....I guess you can't win them all
The 1799 price does help ease the pain though
TeFLoNMan is now prepared for flaming

The official "I effed up my Advanced Order" thread
Alright, I'm starting the thread of repentence. I'm one of the losers that screwed up their advanced order by not putting the coupon code in the right spot.
For those of you who haven't ordered yet. The coupon code can be entered on the first page after you "add to cart." It is in the bottom left hand corner.
DO NOT BE LIKE ME. For the love, we're so sorry Justin. Please, please, forgive us.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok now for my confession.
I admit it. I have a problem following directions...a serious problem. The more direct, the more inclined I am to screw up. I am 21 years old and in college. You think I would have learned by now, but honestly, I haven't. Sadly, I made this order sober and I still couldn't figure it out. You can ask me to set my margins at one inch and tell me to cite using this method or that method but I am familiar with those demands by now. You can ask me to write a paper about positivism and its epistemological implications. You can ask me what the dominant theory of mind is. We can have a chat about Humean skepticism and how it applies to metaphysics. You can ask me if a tree falling in a forest makes a sound if no one is around to hear it and I can tell you the answer.
Just DO NOT ask me to follow simple, specific directions. Especially in formulas that resemble anything like: "after step 1, proceed to step 2, then step 3 etc..."

You two are forgiven.... I think I could enjoy this.... anyone else who wants to fess up to doing the same thing... I know who you are
. The least you could do and pretend to give a **** and give everyone a story to read as to how you screwed it up...
I didn't think it needed a dedicate thread, but ah... it's worth it!Click below to read my Asus news sticky and to find out more about the NBR Member Discount Program (updated 05/10)

Re: The official "I effed up my Advanced Order" thread
LOL you guys are hilarious. I used to be like that, but now I make sure to read everything.
Oh and the answer to the Tree question is, NO it doesn't make a sound if no one heard it, without getting into philosophy. That is the straight logical answer. Really it is.
No, seriously, guys I'm serious, that's the answer.

Re: The official "I effed up my Advanced Order" thread
good humour comes at a price, i admit i laughed at these two stores albeit the fact that they suffered economically.
but it's a good change from some of the heated debates that go on in here

Re: The official "I effed up my Advanced Order" thread
They didn't suffer economically....... I made a huge point... actually in three places (so you'd think it'd sink in) that if you screw it up, tough.. there are too many orders and each screw up adds time to processing.... and since longer processing adds a bit of time to all shipments.... they're screw up affects everyone in a way. Most are being affected a few minutesw here and there and are still going to ship on the same day, however there is going to be probably one or two people who end up getting their's shipped on the 2nd day - perhaps because of someone else's screw up. I know this isn't going to change the world.... everyone isn't going to be affected, but these screw ups don't affect those people as much as someone else down the line.

With that said...... officially there are 11 hours and 47 minutes left to get the $50 off promo on the W3j and W2j advanced orders. The W2j orders are only about 15% of the number of W3j orders that have come in, but mind you, the number of W2j's coming in is only about 25% of how many W3j's are coming in....... so both are filling up quickly, but the W3j's are certainly filling up much quicker...Click below to read my Asus news sticky and to find out more about the NBR Member Discount Program (updated 05/10)
