    Default New Pricing - W5/V6/W1

As of today, pricing on the W5 and V6 has changed. I'm not sure what's up Asus' sleeve, but this does help explain why it seemed the W3w was so darn cheap.

    W5a - $1,649 - $100 drop

W3v - $1,899 - New.. but we all know how the price on this changed

    V6v - $1,999 - $200 drop

W1n - $2,199 - $200 drop -- due to the refresh in mid to late May

On a side note... Asus' official specs now read the W5a's integrated graphics as being able to secure as much as 128mb of system ram to use towards video..... That's probably if you have 1.25gb of memory in the system... but it's good to know they some of the rumors are apparently true.

    Thanks,
    Justin

wow! suddenly the v6 is back in my list...I have been seriously looking at the nc8230/nw8240, but with this price, it is difficult to ignore. Thanks Justin for the update.

The W5 is out, and in stock at many fine retailers across the usa.
    And yes, it has bluetooth.

When will the W5a be out? Do you know whether it's got bluetooth?

That's good to know. I'm thinking W5a or W3V. And then I think I should wait for the Z63 since I don't need everything those two have, but then I think maybe I should just get the basic M5n.

I just can't make up my mind...

Very VERY good news... the V6V is sure one sweet computer!...with the exception of all of those holes on the palmrest.
If only the prices could drop even more... [8)][|)]

One thing I realized again this morning is the V6 doesn't have the brushed aluminum lid like the W1/W3........ I really do like that. The V6 has a magnesium lid that's painted....... it looked like the V6 got the aluminum in the palmrest.. and the W3 got it on the lid.... anyway... both are hot systems.

    Thanks,
    Justin

that's a good price for the V6V. Sneaking under the $2,000 price point is a nice ease mentally for justifying a laptop purchase []
