Re: G2S,any reviews?
ASUS G Series G2S-A1 is on Newegg.com now for $2,098.99 + shipping $17.37.
Same spec as G1 except bigger screen 17" WUXGA
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16834220185
Even the battery is same 8Cell so battery life is more likely to be lower than G1.
I am still waiting for more information and review on C90S or C90P before I make my purchase.Last edited by mWMA; 1st June 2007 at 04:37 PM.

Re: G2S,any reviews?
Hm yeah I just seen that on newegg also, kind of disappointing the only difference is the screen size/resolution, but I guess it is only $100 more. But your probably right about the battery life being even shorter than the G1S, I would have thought they would put a 9 cell in the G2S.

Re: G2S,any reviews?
There is more than just a battery. It has some extra inputs and stuff aswell.
Mainly a extra USB 2.0 port and a AV-in port.
AV in is the big one, for some people that will be very nice to have.
Im still at a draw with the G1S, G2S, and C90.... I cant decide.
I dont like the grey in the front of the G2S I wish they kept it all black like the G1S, but I do like the red better than green for the highlight colors.
The C90 looks bad vs both, but if you can get more performance for 500$ less... who is to complane??? esp when you may be able to upgrade the video card to somthing better soon wich will be the biggest holdback on both the G series units.

Re: G2S,any reviews?
Consider the screen...
Dual Lamp WUXGA (1920x1200) 17.1" with 8ms response and 600:1 Contrast ration. That could be a desk top monitor! Everything else on this Laptop is icing on the cake, and the price is decent. Just my opinion
BTW: XoticPC will have these next week for shipment, and they are the only ones that have a satisfaction Guarantee that I have found

Re: G2S,any reviews?
good thing about 1920x1200 is that you can view full 1080p HD content in its native resolution.
the 8600gt is a good card for HD content aswell.

Re: G2S,any reviews?
yeah,HD Capable.
it is great!
but,the HD Video itself is too expensive for me to afford.
why don't somebody build HD Games?

Re: G2S,any reviews?
Well by definition, if a game is played at a native resolution of 1280x720 progressive, then it is HD. The 1920x1080p is higher quality HD, but 720p is HD too (Fox HD is broadcast in 720p and so is ESPN HD, other channels are in 1080i)
Will there be a HD DVD or Blu Ray drive that G2s owners can upgrade to? Perhaps an eSata Solution?
