re: Asus G75VW Ivy Bridge 660M Review! and owners lounge
Don`t look at the P score. That is CPU and GPU combined. Look at the GPU score. And compare with these numbers . Look at "P GPU" under Vantage and you will see that 570M score about 9550 in average. The last score there is 570M overclocked (Its a good overclocker)
EDIT: Oh you mean the 670M. Doh. Yeah its faster than 660M, about 11000 in GPU score. Its a 80W GPU btw

Do not fall for the newbie trap of thinking higher is better. The 670m is just a
rebadged card. The 670m is a fermi 40nm card vs the gtx660m 28nm kepler card. Simple terms 2010 process technology is the 670m vs 2012 process technology which is the gtx660m.
A 7870m is what you should be aiming for as that is 28nm low tdp maybe 45w-50w that performs as well as the 670m 90-100w card.

Looks similar to a 7770m. Paul do you have one of those power reading meters for watt usage.

re: Asus G75VW Ivy Bridge 660M Review! and owners lounge
I have been waiting for this laptop to release. I have the G73JH from BestBuy which is fairly trashed now after being on a deployment. Having said that: Will I regret buying the G75 from BESTBUY instead of buying one from newegg or tigerdirect? I'm not HUGE into overclocking and benchmarking. I just want a stellar laptop which can play modern games on HIGH settings. Should I just head down to BESTBUY and get the model you got? Or is the G75VW-TS72 THAT much better?
Thanks! Congrats on your new toy!

Just running normal I'm averaging 36 watts!
Running 3D Mark Vantage Average is 86 watts!

I have a Prime Tablet and UltraBook so I could care less about battery life but man that's some low watts for the power of the system!
