Re: Asus G73JW-3DE Owners Lounge
You just need the nvam.inf file from 260.63 driver, no need to install it...
Edit the file, change 20141043 entry (2 lines need to be modified) for 203D1043(our model) and save.
Copy the new modify nvam.inf file to the 260.99 folder and install.
About the firmware hdd update can you post the error mensage?

Re: Asus G73JW-3DE Owners Lounge
Going to order the 3DE this week. Just want to see if you guys or gals ran into any major problems. I know I have to update the HDD firmware since I had the SW but Just wondering if there is anything else I need to know about before I order it so I don't have to worry about sending another laptop back. Is the 120HZ screen really freaking awesome? lol, thats one ting I'm looking forward to plus the Blueray burner.

Re: Asus G73JW-3DE Owners Lounge
Thanks for the Help.
But it still didn´t work.
I did the following:
Edited the .inf file from 260.63 copiyng the first 10 lines from the 260.99.
Than changed the 2 entries like you said. Copied the .inf file to the 260.99 folder.
Tried to install. "No compatible Hardware found".
Tried it without editing the 10 lines. Nothing.
The Problem is that i can´t even install the .63´s even for fun. "No Compatible Hardware found".
The only ones that worked for me where the 266.58.
Am i doing it right?
Even Though "Valeu Cara".
About the Seagate Firmware there isn´t relly a error messega after i force the install.
Just a screen with the name of the Firmware and a c: prompt blinking under it.
But i´m sure it didn´t Install
The firmware update worked after another try. Must´ve hit a wrong key. I hope there is an improvement. But Great work anyway.
Still no luck with the drivers yet.
Untill now, no Major problems at all.
I have mine for about four days. (After a bad bios flashing experience with a g73 JH).
There has been some improvement with the JW.
Couldn´t install the latest Nvidia Driver.
Updated the HDD firmaware.
Untill now i´m in love.
Ah, and the 120hz screen really is freaking awesome.

Re: Asus G73JW-3DE Owners Lounge
Gd,
I need some help again. I have been suffering this stuttering on my OS hdd. Even when i type it stutters/delay i can see my own text appear on the screen after a full second that is not normal. Also in general use of windows i notice the stutter/delayed (for example viewing pics or working with programs). THe most oddest thing i found out is the following. I had a few music and video files which stutter like crazy on the OS hdd on both partitions. But do i move these files to the other hdd then the stutter of those files is gone(even the 3ddemo works without stutter). ONe note is that some files don't stutter though also videogames some need to "think"during gameplay and some games appear to run smooth.
I copied some movies too all four partitions. And notice that in my 2nd hdd there is no stutter at all of the movies which do stutter on the primary hdd. Even looking pics on my primary hdd is done with delay.
I have been formatting checking for bad sectors on the primary hdd, updated the firmware running this speed up programs for the hdd. But nothing helps.
Even not running the speed up program on the 2nd hdd when watching any movie and still the movie goes without stutter.
Does any of you have a suggestion or solution or a program which can detect any kind of problem in a hdd. Cos i think something is really wrong with my primary hdd.

Re: Asus G73JW-3DE Owners Lounge
Hey, I'm having trouble to choose between the G73SW model or the G73JW-3DE model. Any suggestion?
Is it okay to buy the G73SW model now? Is it fixed? Or should I wait for it or should I purchase the G73JW-3DE model instead?
I'm really having a hard time to choose between the two.
