Thank you much. Did you have any of the issues that seem to plague the JH model? I'm leaning towards the 5870 because everywhere I read it just seems to outperform and has better reviews. The main thing I am worried about is having the GSOD and other issues. I know that there are workarounds and solutions to a lot of them, but I just don't want to have to spend more time fixing the thing than doing what I NEED to (Playing video games till my eyes bleed pixels....and CS5 work for college.) The 5870 is a clear choice in my mind. I just really don't want a brick that I paid 1700 for...

well u shouldn't have any problems as long as u update vBIOS.. there is a thread in the forum for that.. hmggh i'm thinking of adding important threads to part of my review.. i'll have a think about it... and with 10.8 drivers u shouldn't have any problems.... just buy from an online reseller like gentech and have them test ur unit and i'd say spend $75 and have ur thermal paste replaced as Asus's one is usually crap and will cause problems later on...

When it comes to Jw and Jh... what are all the differences?

JW has USB 3.0 x1, USB 2.0 x3, HDMI 1.4, (according to benchmarks, the 460M outperforms the 5870?)

And they are both for the same price.

So wouldn't the upgraded hardware make for a longer lasting laptop for the upcoming new technologies?

no the 460M doesn't outperform the 5870M.. it is inferior for sure to the 5870M.. its just that NVIDIA's drivers are better optimised for DX11 but really no laptop can play a DX11 game and anyways ATI has said that their 11.0 drivers will improve DX11 tesellation drastically allowing better performance than NVIDIA.

    Good point Sean.

I'm not sure I'm getting it to be a gaming powerhouse though...

USB 3.0 and HDMI 1.4 strike my eye though.

You guys have no idea of how much lucky you are.
I live in Brazil, and I'll have to pay R$5,500 to buy an B1, which gives me an expense of approximately $3,100! Yeah, that's right.

But, I still think B1 really is the best choice for any gamer...

Hope I can learn some real interesting stuff around here... My B1 arrives by friday, or monday. I'll let my first impressions here.
