Ok so I just got my Asus g73jh about a week ago, all drivers/bios stock, uninstalled creative, and everything works great. But I am having a minor issue. Occasionally my mouse pointer will stop responding, in that I can keep moving it around but I can't click anything. Keyboard still works, I can alt-tab, etc. What fixes is I have to ctrl-alt-del and then click once, and the pointer will work again. It is kind of a hassle to constantly do that so I was wondering if anybody ran into this problem and what fixes it. I am tempted to flash my bios to 2.09 to see if it will fix but that is sort of a last resort. Thanks.

Hope this helps
Appreciate your response. Thanks.

For people who having GSOD issues, I was testing 3 different units with the same hard drive that has been install/uninstall with different version of drivers all got same problem when running Furmark:

System freeze in about 5 minutes and happens every time:

Another unit with BSOD in about 2 minutes:

Another one with pink screen:

What I did was just press F9 and restore the hard drive back to factory settings and see this, now it can run Furmark for hours without any problems:

I think it could be because the drivers was install/uninstall multiple times with different version of drivers that somehow causing conflicts in Windows system directory or maybe registry that I don't know. I even uninstall the driver and then install the stock drivers from the disk that didn't work.

If anyone got GSOD issues and your laptop has been installed with different version of drivers, try restore your HD back to factory settings and see if it'll help.

I am not posting any solution or fix, I am just sharing what I found that's all.

I've got a bit of a non technical problem. I might have to drag this puppy to and from school with me. The weight on itself is not really an issue but more the humongus bag that we got with it.

I've been looking for a replacement for a while now but I haven't been able to find a nice looking shoulder bag which can contain it. I've looked at crumpler for example but either I'm reading things wrong or there's simply not that big a market for bags of this size (probably).

So my question is does anyone know of a good place / or bag (pref single shoulder trap) ?

so as gentech metioned i dont think all the SOD' s are because of a bad GPU. I think it is also because of the drivers or some software issues rather than hardware. I have read many people here Rma'd their units because of Sod's and since there were so many of them I kind of freaked out and started testing the unit days and nights. I mean lets say if I am playing game x for hours and no SOD, but then i start playing game y for 30 minutes and i get a SOD, I dont see how that can be a hardware issue since i could play the game x for hours.

There are several good G73 bag threads, but I use a Targus City Gear. It is a backpack, but the laptop fits in there like the bag was made for it and it is not a ridiculously huge bag. It is a very normal sized backpack.

Yes even the back pack, that come with it is very good I personally use it when need to bring my laptop to work, wish is 3 blocks away lol.

But i suggest you to be careful while caring the laptop, as you can see is not very solid made and i think any wrong movements can easily break your screen.
