Is there one that works well, or is it a better bet to not bother?

The machine will be sitting on a desk in an air conditioned room (~75F) most of the time anyway.

I would say it's not necessary to get a cooler

I would just like to congratulate the US team for having deservedly past the first stage of the FIFA World Cup.

Turbogear well done also to the German team.

At least England managed to qualify and I hope for a good match between Germany and England.

As for Italy , such is life at least Italy have already won it 4 times, they are feeling generous this time round .

Here is the changelog from Station Drivers. The driver is near the top, and the firmware is at the bottom.

I have a Win7 ultimate disk that I purchased for my previous laptop, would formatting the N61's HDD and installing a fresh copy of Win7 void the warranty?

Nope. You might want to keep the recovery partition just in case you sell the laptop or something and don't want to give away your Ultimate license.

This laptop does not benefit from a cooler because of its cooling design. It would be a waste of money, My cooler is nothing more than an expensive laptop tray.

Coolers work well when the bottom of the laptop gets hot; they basically flow air over the bottom surface, which can help remove heat (convection). So, if your laptop tends to cook your lap, you can expect a cooler to make a big difference. This laptop does not conduct heat down to the bottom surface; it stays cool on your lap. As such, the cooler does nothing except help air enter the inlets (grooves) on the bottom. Since most of the air just flows around the laptop and not into the grooves, the cooling effect is much less efficient than the fan inside the laptop, which sucks air into the inlets.

    Thanks, guys.

I think I'll be 'pulling the trigger' sometime in the next week. I'm quite excited.
