My notebook fan does not seem to cool the laptop much at all. The bottom of the laptop doesn't seem to get hot, so when the fan blows on the bottom, I don't think it does much

    Mine came with DDR3 1333.

    The bad:
I am not sure, I think I might have a dead pixel.

As soon as my wife comes home, I will ask her to verify the serial number for me, so that I can email it to Asus.

    My small contribution:
Definitely, the Intel Turboboost technology is different from the Asus 33 Turbo. I spoke to soon and I apologize to everyone for it.

A newer version of Intel Turboboost Monitor v1.04 was released on May 4, 2010. Here are the links for it:

    Review:
I will post a review soon comparing the N61Jq and UL50Vt. Two different Asus machines, with satisfaction levels. Hope the comparison that I will do is alright with Greg.

    Best regards,

    KOR!
Congratulations! and thank's for the link. I will post it and wait for your review.

Hey Garrychow possible for you to explain what cooler you have, and some temps with and without if not too much hassle?

I do have a tip though. If you need an ASUS RMA, make sure they give you one that starts with USA1, not USA2. If you are on the Eastern half of the US they will probably give you a USA2 RMA number while the Western half would usually get a USA1. The horror stories are coming out of the repair facility in IN, not the headquarters facility in CA. USA2 = IN, USA1= CA.
Thank's for the very usefull tip Donald. I will post that on the first page to help others.

Most here have reported almost no difference in temps using coolers. A few have but it is a minority. I see very little difference using mine. It seems to have to do with the desgn. This laptop draws air from the front through the computer and vents out the side. Blowing air on the bottom of this does not really affect the cooling.

No; I've posted a few times about this. The cooler has negligible effect on temps due to the thermal design of the N61JQ.

I decided to contact Asus Customer Service about the 9 cell battery and this was their response.

    Dear Valued Customer,

Thank you for contacting ASUS Customer Service.
I am sorry that only 6 cells 4400 mAh battery for your model.
