Re: * Asus N61JQ Owners Lounge *
That was exactly what I thought.
I don't think my N71JQ monitor has much higher power requirement.
I like the fact that mine came with 120W supply, but the only disadvantage is that it is bigger and heavier.
As stevedogg mentioned power is the product of DC current with DC volatge. My 120W supply is rated as 19V and 6.32A.Last edited by Turbogear; 1st March 2010 at 05:25 PM.

Thanks for info.
Actually, that is what I usaully do when I install new operating system. I look at both the official cite as well as asustreiber.
The owner of asustreiber was on vacation for some weeks. That seems to have delayed the new stuff. Usually, he is faster than the official ASUS website.

Could someone do me a favour. Take a picture of the desktop, with the start menu open?
Also turbo if you are here, could you do the same with your N71? It will help give me an idea of desktop space!
Like this, but at a better angle looking straight at it!

Hi Risco,
Here is a picture of N71JQ.
I am sorry the picture is little bit dark.
You know it is late at night here, and the lighting in the room is not too suitable for taking high quality picture.

Re: * Asus N61JQ Owners Lounge *
This is a great forum, I wonder why I have not used it before. I am almost ready to pull the trigger and get a N61jq, as most reviews seem very good around here.
Its really good to get some hands-on experience about some performance factors from you guys, so, i'll try to ask for your opinions before I get it.
1st- it seems to me that the best choice to get it is on amazon, anyone knows of a better deal around at this time?
2nd- my only concern would be to know if I should wait and see the new lenovo's y560. What do you say, would you wait?
3rd- heaviest use of this new laptop would be for heavy photoshop and adobe CS4, gaming, some 3d modelling and secondlife. any comments about performance for these purposes?

Re: * Asus N61JQ Owners Lounge *
Hey, i have a couple other smaller questions,
4- How many of you have gotten a 12cell battery?
5- This has multitouch, right? how is it working for you?
6- the only way to connect two monitors is with an external card?
7- your system comes with USB 3, right? what do you plan to use it for?
8- Do you recommend this i7 over any of the newer i5?
Thats more than a couple questions, hope not to bug you too much, thanks for any advice!
