Re: ASUS U20A Owner's Lounge
Both the Core 2 Solo SU3500 and Core 2 Duo SU9400 run at 1.4 GHz with 3MB of cache and an 800 MHz bus speed. The difference is that the Solo will be slower but save power, and the Duo will perform much better, although not equally well across the board, and consume more power.
I also see a 9-cell battery available on the specs, but I don't know the part number yet. Most models come with a 6-cell as far as I know.
There are already a few slim notebooks with the SU9400 that have been for sale for at least a month, so I'm not sure how much longer it will be until the dual core model shows up.Sent from my immobile device using Taparock for abax

Re: ASUS U20A Owner's Lounge
Im extreme happy with my Asus U1f from 2007.
Both batteries still last very long. Its a 11" inch.
I saw the Lenovo X200 also comes with SU9400.
When will this PC be released in US?
Here it says 7 of July 2009. I dunno how much we can trust that date.

Re: ASUS U20A Owner's Lounge
I have no idea when it's going to be released, the U20A-A1 is available for preorder in the USA but it has the SU3500. As I said I'm waiting for the SU9400 and I don't even know the full model number yet for that one. I think the U20A-A1 should be available by the end of July if I had to guess

Re: ASUS U20A Owner's Lounge
aha..
Makes sense i didnt find the SU9400 either then.
I will wait for that version as well. Im in no hurry . I bet its worth the wait.
Only thing i find weird is the weight. But that is maybe with battery?
Otherwise its quite heavy.
I also wonder if this is a laptop that is suppose to replace the U1F/U1E/U2E series. I just love mye U1F.
Heres a picture i found on the web.

Re: ASUS U20A Owner's Lounge
Hmm all the Canadian retailers who have posted they will be selling the Asus U20a - D1 show that it will be a Core2™ Duo T6400 2.0 GHz processor.
But I guess thats just for Canada.

What kind of battery life do you think one would get with this? I can't find one for sale anywhere, but it was previewed months ago.
