Does anyone here play Battle Forge? I'm having trouble playing it. The game stutters so much when I play it and I have no idea why, have you guys experienced the same problem?

Take a look, it might sort your flickering issues out, and apparently its faster in crossfire with this too Bonus!
it does fix the flickering issues but still runs slower when running dx11 as compared to running dx9.

Probably because of the additional effects and post processing

How do you disable the touch control on the side? It gets very annoying when I type and keep touching the voume. It always turns the volume off.

Just a general interest question, I'm thinking about upgrading to the qx9300 chip, I could get it for around $600 new (non ES) on Ebay. It looks like the q9000 chips are selling for around $300-$400 on ebay. I was wondering about buying a qx9300 chip and then selling off the q9000. The only concern I have is if there's any warranty issues, would I be better off keeping the q9000 and put it back in if there's ever a warranty issue? Any comments? Thanks in advance. I love this laptop and look forward to future upgrades including a faster cpu, ssd/s, and more ram if I ever need it.

I think you will void your warranty if you remove the original cpu but the QX9300 seems like it's a lot faster so I think it's worth it. Maybe wait for another year until you do this.

Hello, right I think I hsne run into a few problems that you might want to know about if you dont already. I am using window 7 and when you put the laptop to sleep and then log on again the cpu will down clock. So my q9000 goes to 1.6ghz and sometimes down to 1ghz. And secondly I have a problem myself, I have got a gpu monitoring tool and it says that the fan in not turning on????? Playing BFBC2 it goes right up to 90 degrees but the fans wont turn on, can any help me? Or have you experienced this problem?

I haven't seen these problems and I put mine to sleep maybe 10x a day. I'll watch closer and see if that happens. I'm running windows 7 home premium 64.

i want to change the blu ray rom, because asus is not providing a new firmware update and many new movies are not readable with the optiarc bd 5500s. is it possible to take it out and insert another driver, for example a blu ray writer? do u have expierience with something like this? i like the sony optiarc BD-5730S with original firmware.

    Hi there,

Is 0502 the latest bios? I have an offer to buy a W90VP but the owner says there is a problem recognizing the 2 cards. No crossfire. Is this a known driver issue with this laptop? fixable? I'm told Asus ended any driver support for this model. I don't mind working to fix problems as long as they are fixable. Would it be better just to avoid W90VP?

    Thank you
