With the original drivers I never had problems. I think as long as there are no official drivers from Asus, we will always have problems. What do we have at the moment? A W90 bios mod, an unofficial VGA BIOS drivers, drivers need to be modded with mobility modder ... etc
I think when in december the W90 driver cd comes from asus, are also official drivers out.

You could probably use that as an excuse for an RMA, or you can say that it distorts your screen when you use the turbogear function seeing as that is a factory sponsored overclock feature. They (ASUS) were pretty liberal when it came to my problem and ended up replacing the screen as well as the GPUs.

I've been experiencing freezing + sound loop in TF2, but I think my problem might be fairly common. My friend also experiences them on his computer (though not quite as bad). They don't require a hard reboot and I can still ctrl-alt-dlt out of it.

I used to play tf2 a lot on my desktop and would get that the sound loop crash. This seems different, it will crash and hang then sometimes it looks like the gpus fullout crash and the screen will go black+occasionally it will do the whole 2d crash effects before it shuts down. I cant ctrl-alt-del out of them either.

Ill call the local depot tomorrow and see if i can talk to a tech and see if they have any parts in for the w90 still. I have a feeling canada didnt get to many spare machines for parts. Dont want this notebook sitting in there depot for 2 months, would rather have them order it and i will still use it as is for now.

For the record this has become my fulltime use rig, it goes to work everyday from tuesday-saturday and is used almost all day at work then all night at home gaming. Machine is solid in every other aspect even with q9300 @ 3ghz. I was queezy on my purchase the last few months but with this new driver support im quite pleased with this purchase. Even if this is the last driver update we get (cross fingers :P) im happy.

December ? ....its not like the Windows7 RC was out for a while, and not like ASUS dident have access to that to develop drivers. I have never had to deal with a company and their resellers with their heads so far up their posteriors.

ASUS, GENTECH and XOTIC aoll dropped the ball big time on this.

LOL, not this ASUS, GENTECH, and XOTIC bashing thing all over again, I think I'm having deja vu, this seems to come up once every couple of weeks.

I have the same issue, plus the temp does not display. I running Vista 64 with CAT 9.10 drivers. Crossfire works flawless though.
